Trisha Buller, salon director of Ciente, took her graduate team of stylists to the launch party for Vidal Sassoon: The Movie in London's Westfield on Monday.
While chatting to the world famous stylist, Trisha told him she had mentioned to a young girl in a florist that she was going to meet him and the girl replied: 'Oh, is Vidal Sassoon a person? I thought it was a hairdryer'. Vidal laughed and said: 'Some people think I am a bottle of shampoo.'
Trisha added: 'I was impressed by his knowledge and enthusiasm for the craft at the age of 83.'
The film tells the story of Sassoon's life, from a childhood in a Jewish orphanage to the pinnacle of his career as a revolutionary London hairdresser.
