I'm afraid that a relative got carted off to Watford A&E on Sunday which presented me with the common difficulty of how to find Watford General Hospital.

I heard that the free bus had been stopped so I just had to find out. It hasn't, so it's so easy to make a visit without the hassle of finding the place and then finding somewhere to park.

Pick up at West Herts (stop is outside x-ray dept. and is a post with 'bus stop' written on it) and drops off outside the main entrance at Watford just 30 minutes later. For me a total journey time of 1 hour which is less that the 320 bus from Hemel to Watford. Return is just as easy. Visiting seems to be 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm (I'm sure much shorter that Hemel)

Now I just have to convince them that the Chief Exec promised at a public meeting that patients taken to Watford A&E from Dacorum will come back to West Herts for any further treatment or discharge.

Just thought you'd all like to know.

PS Patient says food good, service good but can't get the radio to work!
