A branch of clothing chain Fat Face has opened in Berkhamsted.

The shop, which sells outdoor clothing and casual fashion, has taken over the site previously occupied by hair salon Altered Image.

It opened for business at 176a High Street on Thursday.

A spokesman said: 'Berkhamsted has been on the Fat Face radar for many years now and is a location that we have strived to secure on several occasions.'

Have you shopped in Fat Face yet? What do you think about the chain coming to Berkhamsted? Let us know below.

I like Fat Face - it's better than having a pound shop or some other rubbish!

I was afraid you would ask that.
http://tinyurl.com/nzkw4 and follow the memory link.
It's a pdf file and later today it should have a couple of the errors corrected and be joined by the second in the series - errors moved to that one.

    Enjoy!

Where can we download your 'memory stroll' document, Norm?

It has surprised me how many downloads have been made on my 'memory stroll' document, to the extent that I'm just doing another one - Durrants Lane to Chesham Road and back - hopefully to cover other areas during the coming year.
These are in addition to the walks already available which start at today and remind walkers what was there before.

    Sad or what?

Just eaten in the Gas showrooms (ASK) , and was just thinking that we used to have "proper" shops - Curry's (clinton cards), Woolworths (waterstones and Costa); a carpet shop (Villagio), a TV shop (Hospice shop - I think) Mcdermotts - hardware/gardening ( Cancer Research); - I think I have some photos from a school project one of my kids did 20 yrs ago - must find em
