If you missed it last night (7pm ITV) may I suggest you find an opportunity to see it. Great drama and for those of us of a certain age and history will find the social history fairy accurate. Those of a younger disposition may not believe it could be anything but fiction.

SWMBO had a sheltered upbringing (doesn't even remember using slate at school!), me? Gas light, outdoor privy, hopscotch on the paving slabs, school desks with fixed seats facing front etc.

Just remember youngsters, if you don't behave you could end up a miserable ol' git like me!

Try to watch it and remember how lucky you are!
