Latest 'shot' in the South Berkhamsted 'concept'

Just in case you haven't heard or had one of the Hall Park leaflets - www.berko.org.uk/pdf/sayno2gui.pdf
The objections should be sent to GUI by November. They should all be in the 'bundle' submitted to the Inspector by GUI.
You will have more opportunities to object directly to the inspector, maybe thinking of something others have missed. You will, naturally, also have the opportunity to actually support the 'concept' (someone must!) or even suggest an alternative just on the off chance the inspector is minded to remove the Green Belt designation, but turns down the concept in principle.
Maybe not agricultural, but fairly level community open space (we do have a shortage of said open space) with something like Gadebridge Park in Hemel. Crazy golf, bowls, skateboard, football. Remember the objections to this idea in the past has been too far from the town - village or recreational facilities, think about it.
Just one more thought, a lot is being made by GUI about improving the views of Ashlyns Hall. Not sure how you see through buildings without using a ferris wheel or similar. Whilst doing section 2 of my town walk (www.berko.org.uk/visitor/) you get a nice view of the white painted hall from both Swing Gate Lane and Garden Field Lane - this view will disappear along with most others. Just a thought!

I was alooking at the visa view from/to Ashlyns Hall this morning and the 'concept' suggests it will be improved. Not sure how that will happen if the visa/view is obstructed by buildings. I know, a viewing platform will be built!
Those wondering down Long Green/Sugar Lane will have spotted the new trail made by the animals leading to 'their' play area. I have told them about the concept and many would have read all the little posters erected. I can only suppose they are intending having a sit in (I even spotted a hunting bird swoop and catch a small furry creature). The ploughed patches make it easier, but for the life of me, I haven't worked out why apart from trying out different types of plough/tractor combinations for the future.
