Lombardy Drive anyone?
By N Cutting | Friday, October 07, 2011, 09:26
A badger looked as though it had been hit by a car this morning (overnight?). It was on the green looking very sorry for itself and a resident told me that tiddywinkles in Aylesbury had been called.
Anyone in the area able to enlighten me on the outcome. It was only a little one, so most probably a youngster.

At great expense and effort I'll put you all out of your misery.
The badger was collected and taken to the wildlife place near Aylesbury.
It was an old badger and most likely came from a sett near the Sunnyside Allotments. Apparently, the group 'evict' badgers who cannot pull their weight because of age or lack of hunting skills. It is thought it was hit as it crossed the A4251 and managed to reach the open space at the bottom of Lombardy Drive. The rescue centre did fed it up, but had poor teeth (hence removal from the sett) and was not expected to survive more than a month or two.
