Royal Mail collection point - do we still need one in Berko ?

The Berkhamsted Citizens Association is still actively pursuing the re-establishment of a 'permanent' collection point in the town, in collaboration with the Town Council and the Way Inn/ Post Office. My question is, what do people feel about the 'new' mail arrangements since the delivery office closed in July i.e. arranging re-delivery by Royal Mail, or collecting from Hemel. Is it working, particularly at this busy time ? Do we still need a collection point in the town ?

It's weather like this that really makes you appreciate a local mail office - who wants to have to drive to Hemel?
