Looking to lose a few pounds for the New Year? You could make a few pounds for charity at the same time.

Do you want to be The Biggest Loser?
The Hospice of St Francis is looking for 20 volunteers to take on a four-month weight loss challenge based on ITV's The Biggest Loser.
In return for raising sponsorship cash, slimmers will receive a tailored nutrition plan, personal training, gym membership and a hair salon appointment to round off their transformation.
Harriet Karia, community fundraising manager, said: 'In just 18 weeks, you could change your life forever - and change the lives of patients and families here at the Hospice. In return for your commitment and courage, we'll be cheering you on every time you step on those scales.
'You'll soon be feeling the benefits of an individually-tailored nutrition plan from our nutritional therapist Alyson Carter of Nutrition 4 Life, as well as personalised support as you transform your eating habits.
'For the first six weeks, you'll have two personal training sessions a week, as well as a weekly group training session with the Sportspace staff, organised by their group Gymspace manager, Shelley Dell. You'll also receive a free Sportspace membership, including access to exercise classes, the swimming pool and their well-equipped gym. Altogether, that's more than £700 worth of personalised support and expertise.'
There'll also be a weekly weigh-in, with the experts working alongside to support participants as they track your progress.
Harriet added: "We're looking for the greatest percentage loss, rather than the most pounds, so it's all about what's right for you and your body. Then, before you know it, there'll be the final weigh-in in May - and we'll be throwing a great big party to celebrate the new you.
'Just so you're looking your absolute best, the lovely people from Gorgeous hair salon will be treating you to a great new look at their salon in Berkhamsted.'
Volunteers will need to raise a minimum of £500 in sponsorship. For information and an application form, call 01442 869555 or email fundraising@stfrancis.org.uk. The closing date for applications is Friday, November 25.
