Active children looking for a challenge next weekend?
Shires Triers (Local Triathlon Club for Herts Beds and Bucks) is running a children’s triathlon on the 12th of July at Kings Langley school. For those who haven’t done it a triathlon is a race comprising of a swim, a bike and a run. The whole event takes place in the school grounds (so traffic free) and all you need is a roadworthy bike and a helmet.
Swimming is in the school 20 meter pool.
It’s a fun event that’s been running for nearly 10 years now. Minimum age is 8 maximum 16 with different distances for each age group. There’s also a fun run for the under 8s so they don’t need to be left out.
All in all it’s a great introduction to the sport, or just a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Entries close this Friday.
I might well get my little bro into this - he needs the exercise.

Was a great day, the rain even stayed away until after everyone had finished.
Lots of children from Tring, Berkhamsted and Hemel and the all looked like they enjoyed themselves.
