A survey has revealed that a third of under-25s don't know their neighbours' names. The older generation fares better, with 96 per cent of over-65s knowing what the people next door are called. They were also more likely to chat to neighbours in the street and to trust them to take in deliveries in their absence. Do you know your neighbours' names? What's the community spirit like in your part of Berkhamsted?

Actually, this is interesting as I really don't know what my neighbours are called! I must rectify this situation with cakes and tea!

Yes thank you, it's just the 'secretive' ones I had trouble with, but we are all on speaking terms these day (amazing what an offer of a push out of the snow will do).
Mind you, we have been here for over 30 years and in the town (I started out about 500 yards away as the crow flies) for longer.
