Snow is on its way to Berkhamsted tonight and tomorrow - and if it turns out to be enough to keep you from work or school, put your time to good use by contributing to the Met Office's interactive snow depth observations map.

Compiled from data sent in by individuals across the country, the map plots how much powder has fallen in different areas.

There is even a foolproof guide to assessing the depth of snow - including taking into account the gap between the end of the ruler and the start of the scale and not measuring a snowdrift.

Once you've sent your snow measurements into the Met Office, let us know below what depth you recorded and where in Berkhamsted you took your reading.

Having spent billions on a shiny new computer in Exeter, they couldn't organise a p*ss up in a brewery.
Forecast for Monday overnight was heavy snow (even at 6am, still saying heavy snow). Go on, look out!!
