There will be innovative ideas on how you can make this Christmas greener than ever – from trying a new art of wrapping presents in material, called 'Furoshiki',  to turning old jam jars into tealight holders.   • Tiger Line Buses withdrawal

    Tiger Line Buses (part of Wootens Coaches Group), who operate the T2 service from Chesham through Berkhamsted to Hemel and Watford, has de-registered its local bus service network with effect from 23rd December. This will result in the withdrawal of local bus services from that date.
  • Berkhamsted marks Armistice Day with remembrance services

    Services will take place on Sunday, November 13
    Berkhamsted will remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country during a special service on Sunday. The Royal British Legion Service of Remembrance will take place at St Peter's Church at 3pm on November 13. The Hemel Hempstead Band will perform on the High Street from 1pm to mark the occasion. The Hospice of St Francis is looking for 20 volunteers to take on a four-month weight loss challenge based on ITV's The Biggest Loser. In return for raising sponsorship cash, slimmers will receive a tailored nutrition plan, personal training, gym membership and a hair salon appointment to round off their transformation. ...
