Bridgewater Monument on the Ashridge Estate, which is a top spot for walkers
The Ashridge Estate, which spans a swathe of woods on chalk downlands at the north end of the Chiltern Hills, came third in the National Trust's chart of favourite spots for visitors.
The organisation based its rankings on the number of people opting to download details of walks in a particular area.
The Trust's Ashridge Estate Walk is a two-mile route described as "perfect for family rambles" and begins at the Ashridge Estate Visitor Centre, near the Bridgewater Monument, on Moneybury Hill.
In the top spot was the Bath skyline walk in north-east Somerset, followed in second place by the Clumber Park Estate, near Worksop in Nottinghamshire.
