Berkhamsted in the national press: Graham Greene meets Berkhamsted's Got Talent
By LaraKing | Saturday, June 27, 2009, 21:51
A review of the Kings Arms on Berkhamsted High Street was published in today's edition of The Times.
A mystery guest visited the hotel to explore the place described by author Graham Greene in his autobiography A Sort Of Life.
The writer gave the hotel a score of 5.88 out of 10 after being unimpressed by the "slightly tatty room" but complimenting the food.

ReportI have always had a nice time in the Kings Arms though just for a drink and then going to lovely Thai place a few doors down!

ReportHaving lived in Berkhamsted for about 22 years, I have never been drawn to The Kings Arms! It appears old fashioned and doesn't lure you in. Surprising though that it made the national press and it must be doing something right holding on to such a prominent spot for so long!! However, I don't know anyone who's ever eaten there!!
