Just after 10 o/c last night, several explosions were heard all over the town.

A certain Guy Fawkes was suspected, but apparently he is no longer with us.

It's reported a building in Bridgewater Road is in pieces.

No warning was given to residents and with the current high level of national security, it's feared that when the light gets better, more damage will be seen.

This is a picture of the house that's being torn down, by @adoran2 on Twitter - tinyurl.com/yar72k2 Doesn't help your firework problem I'm afraid though Norm!

    OK, I'll admit it.

I think it was something to do with a location down the bottom of the valley, where there are frequent firework 'displays'.
Only they forget that they are at the bottom of the valley, most of the residents live up the sides and we get fed up with 'stun grenades' going off outside out bedroom. To them, it may be a pretty light show with a small bang, but to others it is a sudden explosion outside the window. At least around late October and early November our animals go round like zombies, having been drugged up to the eyeballs as we expect something. Now, it can happen any time of the year for no reason.
I can't help being a miserable old git - but I ain't the only one!

They've been demolishing a house in Bridgewater Road for over a week now - is that what you're talking about?
