Most schools in Berkhamsted have remained closed today due to snow and ice in the school grounds and surrounding roads. 

Ashlyns School, Victoria School, Bridgewater School, St Thomas More School and Thomas Coram School will not open today.

Greenway First School and Nursery is open from 10am until 3pm, but the school kitchen will not be in operation and no school clubs will run. Children are permitted to wear their own clothes suitable for the weather conditions, and if parents prefer to keep their children at home it will not be recorded as an unauthorised absence. 

Ashlyns School and Thomas Coram School have posted work on their websites for pupils to complete during the school closure.

Bridgewater School is offering prizes for the best snowy story and winter poems, and Thomas Coram School is encouraging students to submit their photos of the snow.
