Video exposes life in Berkhamsted

After Berkhamsted Castle's recent appearance in a music video, the town is gearing up for its second five minutes of fame.

Tommy Precious presents his video 'Berkhamsted: An Expose'

Berkhamsted resident Tommy Precious has exposed the ins and outs of life in the town in a YouTube video, shot on location at sites including Waitrose, the train station, the castle, the canal, the Rex Cinema and the town's outdoor gym.

Other sights captured on camera include "a large pipe, a bin bag and a traffic cone".

Tommy's tongue-in-cheek documentary reveals that the canal "is the primary transport link in Berkhamsted, with over three users a day" and that the "recently established modern cinema shows at least one films every day".

The town's main attraction is named as Waitrose, and Tommy also explains that local nightlife "primarily caters to the over-65s, with venues such as The Lamb".

Could do a lot better.
No mention of all the car parks such as Victoria Road, George Street or Boxwell Road.
Our open air swimming pool, the Port of Berkhamsted, Town Hall which which it isn't,Sainsburys and Woolworths not forgetting Castle Village for all the over 50's.
The Methodist Church in Highfield Road, Park View School, the watercress beds, the new homes between the Ravens Lane and Castle Street bridges, the 'leak', all the pubs that have closed due to a teetotal town and not forgetting the Court theatre.
The dairy in Castle Street and all the corner shops.

I could go on (I did a film once called Hemel-our town, amongst others, but that was with stuff with sprocket holes along the edge) but a little more imagination could produce a lot better.
For example, the Rex cinema bit, could have included the outdoor projector for outdoor films during the summer months (off to the castle!).
