The Crown
Great for breakfast
I'm not a big fan of chain pubs, but the Crown surprised me when I walked in. It feels like a pleasant, old pub - and I particularly like the little snug to the right, where the fire roars away in winter. AND they do my favourite pancakes, bacon and syrup for breakfast.

Value and service
The Crown is a wonderful in Berkhamsted, the service is quick, and the prices are good! You can always find someone to talk to, its a cosy and friendly atmosphere.

Nice food and plenty of seating
A very nice Wetherspoons-run pub, with the usual decent and well priced food, especially considering the area. Its surprisingly large too so finding seating is never an issue even when busy or on weekend evenings, and the atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming too.
