Something for everyone

I don't often end up down this end of the street, so I hadn't been here before. What a treasure trove! I was Christmas shopping, so was looking for inspiration - and for anyone who likes something a bit different there's loads to choose from - vintage dresses, jewellery, homeware. Check out the men's section downstairs - old books, fishing gear, and interesting knick knacks. Upstairs there are some more modern pieces such as homeware, as well as vintage fabric. And if you have more money to spend there's some beautiful furniture too. And the staff are really helpful too, if you're struggling with a gift idea.

    Love this place!

       

    Great stock (though can be pricey) and a lovely cafe, well worth the trek up to the top of the shop. The cakes come highly recommended and I'm told the English breakfast is good too.

    I have to agree with Jemma's review. Not only a great..

       

    I have to agree with Jemma's review. Not only a great place for afternoon tea but a really interesting walk back down the stairs browsing the antiques on each floor. I spent a good couple of hours there.

    Great afternoon tea!

       

    You'll struggle up the flights of stairs but once you get to the top a delicious tea and scone will await! They do cakes, tea, milkshakes etc (and I think sandwiches/light meals too).
